Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware development for AERO mobile solutions, from conceptual design through production and field deployment
• Own design, hardware verification, qualification testing, production ramp-up, and system-level optimization
• Perform engineering analyses using hand calculations, FEA, CFD, and CAD tools in a fast-paced environment
• Develop detailed production drawings using GD&T and conduct tolerance stack-up analyses
• Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) to simplify designs and reduce part counts
• Plan and execute environmental and performance testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with requirements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, RF, EMC, and manufacturing teams to drive product delivery timelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical field
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Creo or Solidworks
• Experience with engineering analysis methods including FEA and CFD
• Deep understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in hardware design for complex systems in aerospace or high-reliability environments
• Knowledge of electronic board assembly design, including thermal management and mechanical integration
• Familiarity with FAA certification processes and regulatory standards (e.g., DO-160, FARs)
• Experience with aircraft systems or avionics hardware integration
• Familiarity with RF and EMI/EMC considerations in hardware design
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
