Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements to prepare detailed system specifications
• Lead the design and development of automation equipment from concept to DFM
• Perform detailed mechanical design, parameter calculations, and component selection
• Create fabrication drawings and supervise assembly technicians during installation and debugging
• Manage vendor relationships for procurement, manufacturing, and equipment delivery
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including Electrical, Optics, and Software engineers
• Provide technical leadership by advising and training junior engineers
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BoM) and project quotes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design for automation equipment
• Proficiency in CAD modeling software, specifically SolidWorks
• Strong expertise in mechanical design principles, DFM, and sheet metal design
• Broad understanding of electromechanical, optics, and electrical systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex equipment problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing automation for consumer electronics, semiconductor, or medical domains
• Familiarity with visual inspection systems
• Knowledge of testing techniques such as air or water leak tests
• Experience in tooling and fixture development
