Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and approve detailed HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems
• Identify HVAC interference with sensitive equipment and ensure EMI compatibility
• Design exhaust gas extraction and cooling systems for dynamometers
• Perform thermal load calculations, airflow analysis, and pressure balancing
• Lead the mechanical team from inception through construction and handover
• Oversee installation of industrial systems including chillers, AHUs, compressed air, and natural gas
• Conduct site visits to verify installations against IFC and manage contractor quality assurance
• Resolve design conflicts using BIM or CAD tools in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Validate testing, pre-commissioning, and startup of mechanical systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 8+ years of experience in industrial construction
• Experience with automotive or heavy manufacturing plants
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Mechanical and Revit
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Experience with industrial automation and control systems
• Troubleshooting and commissioning expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cleanrooms or dyno labs
• Professional engineering certification
