About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Perform site walk-downs and inspections to ensure conformance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Review and approve mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and civil engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Prepare detailed site reports, inspection records, and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction supervision for Buildings & Places (B&P) projects.
- Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or BIM tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building codes, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, or LEED.
