Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ownership of designs from prototype to production
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Utilize GD&T and tolerance analysis methods
• Generate and maintain process flow documentation and BOMs
• Conduct DFMEA, PFMEA, and risk analysis heat maps
• Design and fabricate fixtures and test setups
• Execute basic structural and thermal analyses to down-select designs
• Practice proper engineering revision control using PLM systems

Requirements

• Master’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline
• 2-5 years of experience in optomechanical design or optoelectronic packaging
• Experience designing mechanical assemblies for opto-electronic devices
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing systems for cryogenic and vacuum environments
• Experience with liquid cooling and cold plate assemblies
