Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Company

Humanoid is on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. Their flagship platform, HMND‑01 Alpha, is currently running in real industrial pilots.

Responsibilities

• Transform broad project requirements into detailed design specifications
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to develop prototype robots
• Design and refine innovative mechanisms, interfaces, and structures
• Create and manage CAD models, engineering drawings, and assembly documentation
• Perform design analysis and validate through bench tests
• Troubleshoot design issues and implement corrective measures
• Manage external vendors for outsourced components and assemblies

Requirements

• BSME with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience designing high-performance mechanical structures and motion mechanisms
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks
• Experience with FEA and topology optimization
• Strong understanding of ASME drafting standards and GD&T (Y14.5-2018)
• Experience transitioning designs from early concepts (NPI, EVT, DVT) to production
• Familiarity with casting, sheet metal, stamping, hydroforming, and composites
• Experience with lightweight structures and compliant mechanisms
