Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Electrical Systems

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D mechanical design and integration of all electrical components on and off the car in compliance with F1 technical regulations
• Design composites and metallic parts for electrical system housing and support
• Execute the design and routing of complex wiring harnesses
• Produce detailed mechanical drawings and associated documentation using CAD data to ensure correct installation
• Contribute to future car programmes and the implementation of new development technologies

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience in 3D CAD design (Catia V5/3DX or NX)
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles
• Experience with motorsport electrical systems, including military-spec connectors and harness design
• Ability to work analytically and make pragmatic decisions with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within Formula 1 or high-level motorsport environments
• Proficiency with Catia Electrical Workbench
