Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own hardware subsystems for space nuclear power systems from clean sheet design through qualification
• Drive system-level layout, requirements decomposition, and CAD model management
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary alignment with nuclear, thermal, and manufacturing teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related physics-based field
• 3+ years of experience in space system mechanical design and configuration
• Expertise with CAD software such as NX or CATIA

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Experience in the design and integration of nuclear or space nuclear systems
• Strong understanding of fluid systems and solid mechanics
