Senior Mechanical Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical pre-construction activities including design constructability, procurement, and project planning
• Oversee mechanical system installations such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
• Manage and supervise mechanical subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers on-site
• Oversee the commissioning process and mechanical system testing to ensure operational readiness
• Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the construction team
• Monitor project progress against schedule and budget, managing cost overruns and scope changes
• Conduct site safety audits and ensure compliance with building codes and health and safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical project management on construction sites
• Proven experience in data center construction projects
• Expertise in HVAC, cooling, fire suppression, and energy management systems
• Experience with Owner’s Representation and stakeholder management
• Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, MS Project, or BIM

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as PMP or LEED
