Senior Mechanical Construction Cost Manager/Estimator

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
• Provide cost planning and produce final cost plans
• Review and participate in cost estimate development with design teams and general contractors
• Coordinate all cost information including contractor pricing, supplier quotations, and subcontractor proposals
• Manage cost checks, valuations, auditing, and change control processes for large-scale projects
• Lead mechanical cost management for HVAC, cleanrooms, process piping, and utility infrastructure
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities
• Prepare monthly cost reports and executive summaries for client presentation
• Mentor and coach talent within the team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Engineering, or related discipline
• 5–7 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or estimating
• Experience managing mechanical scopes on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Experience with HVAC, piping, cleanrooms, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or data center projects preferred
• Proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, and digital quantity takeoff tools
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or actively working toward it
• Construction consultancy experience
• Understanding of procurement strategies and value engineering
