About the role
Responsibilities
- Tear down, inspect, repair, and rebuild industrial pumps and rotating equipment
- Perform hydrostatic and performance testing using test stands and specialized tools
- Operate overhead cranes, hoists, rigging, and material-handling equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, work instructions, and test standards
- Prep, paint, and package pumps and components for shipment
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment following lockout/tagout procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in heavy mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, or repair
- Experience with pump, motor, gearbox, or rotating equipment repair
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with precision tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, torque tools, and calipers
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in physically demanding environments
- Basic computer skills for work orders and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating overhead cranes, hoists, or forklifts
- Background in fabrication, welding, diesel, or industrial equipment
- Experience working in tight assembly cells, enclosed spaces, or elevated positions
