Senior Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot pumps, motors, compressors, and other plant equipment
• Fabricate and replace piping systems accurately
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other alloys
• Install and repair electrical circuits, control panels, and instrumentation
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
• Read and follow manuals, drawings, and specifications
• Apply all safety practices and use protective equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical plant
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Welding skills including Stick, TIG, and MIG
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong math and measuring skills for fabrication work
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior welding certifications and advanced fabrication experience
• Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and instrumentation
• Ability to work rotating shifts
