Senior Materials Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the selection, testing, and approval of construction materials
• Coordinate with laboratories to conduct material testing and analyze results
• Review material certifications and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Advise project teams on material properties, durability, and suitability
• Develop and implement material quality control plans and procedures
• Monitor material procurement and usage to ensure standards are met
• Address and resolve material-related issues during project execution
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain comprehensive records of materials data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 15 years of experience in materials engineering within the construction or infrastructure sector
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing methods, and relevant standards
• Experience with quality control processes and lab testing coordination
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with Saudi Arabian construction codes and regulations
