Senior Materials and Chemistry Engineer - Liquid Cooling

Responsibilities

• Develop materials strategies and select metals, polymers, elastomers and composites for liquid-cooling components
• Define and execute analytical chemistry and materials-characterization testing, including corrosion and fluid-stability qualification programs
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal and reliability teams to translate laboratory findings into design requirements and supplier specifications
• Lead materials-related failure analysis and root-cause investigations
• Drive sustainability initiatives focused on environmentally responsible materials, improved recyclability and enhance lifecycle durability

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in chemical analysis and materials characterization
• Hands-on experience with FTIR, electrochemical analysis, SEM/EDS, XRD, XPS, or ICP
• Understanding of corrosion mechanisms, coolant chemistry, fluid/material compatibility, coatings and surface-treatment methods
• Proven success collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability and technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in materials or mechanical engineering
• Background in direct-to-chip liquid cooling
• Knowledge of metallurgical principles and metal-joining methods such as welding or brazing
