Senior Material Planner

About the Company

Northwood is a modern space infrastructure company bringing the benefits of space to the masses through advanced communications technology. We are building a global network of phased array ground stations that enable real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions.

Responsibilities

• Own material planning and inventory management for assigned product lines using MRP planning activities
• Analyze demand, inventory, and supplier lead times to develop material forecasts and identify shortages
• Optimize inventory performance by maintaining planning parameters like safety stock and reorder points
• Perform root cause analysis on material shortages and inventory discrepancies
• Maintain accurate planning data within ERP systems, including item master data and BOMs
• Lead inventory optimization initiatives and improve planning processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain management
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP planning systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
• Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement
• Ability to comply with ITAR regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual)

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup, high-growth, or NPI manufacturing experience
• Background in aerospace, satellite, telecommunications, or defense industries
• Experience with Manufacturo MRP, SQL, or Superset
• Experience with inventory optimization and demand forecasting
