About the role
Responsibilities
- Review and approve material submittals, mix designs, and samples in compliance with QCS and Ashghal standards
- Supervise on-site and off-site materials testing and review laboratory results
- Ensure all construction materials meet project specifications and quality requirements
- Identify non-conforming materials and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Conduct site inspections related to material usage, storage, and compliance
- Coordinate with contractors, laboratories, and the supervision team on materials issues
- Maintain materials documentation, approvals, and quality records
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline
- 12–15 years of professional experience in materials engineering
- Proven experience on Ashghal infrastructure or roads projects in Qatar
- Strong knowledge of QCS, Ashghal standards, and materials testing procedures
- Mandatory MMUP/UPDA registration
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering body
