Senior Material Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review and approve material submittals in line with project specifications and standards
• Oversee material testing, inspection, and certification processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements
• Coordinate with design, construction, and quality teams on material-related matters
• Monitor material usage and ensure suitability for project conditions and applications
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify material quality and storage practices
• Investigate material-related issues and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain records of material approvals, test results, and compliance documentation
• Support continuous improvement in material quality and performance across projects

Requirements

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in materials engineering within similar projects
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing standards, and quality control procedures
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
• Familiarity with laboratory testing procedures and material approval processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Rail project experience
• Experience working in the Middle East, particularly the UAE
• Professional certifications related to materials engineering or quality assurance
