Senior Master Annotator

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain gold-standard annotations and benchmark datasets
• Establish acceptance criteria, tolerance thresholds, and quality standards
• Develop, document, and refine annotation guidelines and SOPs
• Design and implement Inter-Annotator Agreement (IAA) frameworks and produce quality reports
• Analyze disagreement trends and recommend process improvements
• Lead onboarding, training, and calibration sessions for annotators
• Build and maintain edge-case libraries and example banks
• Conduct precision-based QC audits and validate pilot batches
• Review escalated edge cases and partner with QA and Operations teams

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in data annotation, quality control, or video labeling
• Expertise in temporal video annotation
• Deep understanding of Inter-Annotator Agreement methodologies and quality metrics
• Experience mentoring or training annotators
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle ambiguous visual tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with robotics, computer vision, or autonomous systems datasets
• Proficiency in Python
