Senior Market Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

• Act as Deputy to the Market Risk Manager for the Western European Sales Division
• Engage with regional subsidiaries, operations, portfolio managers, and sales teams to assess risks
• Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate risk considerations into strategy
• Support the implementation of the Group’s risk framework and policies
• Monitor positions, oversee sales activities, track PnL, and analyze risk data
• Report deviations, incidents, or relevant risk issues to the Market Risk Manager
• Contribute to the development of tailored risk frameworks for local businesses
• Support the enhancement of risk models, analytics, and reporting tools
• Conduct advanced risk assessments including VaR back-testing and scenario simulations
• Participate in model validation and ensure regulatory compliance
• Design innovative solutions to address complex market risk challenges

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a quantitative discipline
• 4-5 years of experience in market risk, pricing, forecasting, or portfolio management in energy downstream
• Solid knowledge of Western European power and/or gas markets
• Ability to translate complex risk data into actionable insights
• Proficiency in English
• Mandatory fluency in at least one regional language: Italian, Spanish, or French
