Senior Market Development Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the dedicated business development lead for Support Equipment (SE) markets, focusing on both sustainment and product development
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for ATE, maintenance/test systems, and mobile support units for U.S. and allied defense customers
• Engage with customers, program offices, and industry partners to build relationships and advance SE investment cases
• Conduct deep market analysis regarding mission requirements, maintenance gaps, and acquisition pathways like FMS and OTA
• Translate operational needs into technical product requirements, value propositions, and business cases
• Collaborate with engineering and program management to define scalable SE solutions and product roadmaps
• Support capture and proposal efforts by shaping Statements of Work (SOWs) and providing technical-commercial content
• Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally for customer visits, trade events, and industry engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical), Business, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in support equipment, maintenance/test systems, ATE, or SE sustainment
• Proven familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense acquisition and sustainment processes, PEOs, and FMS frameworks
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Demonstrated ability to create compelling business cases and influence procurement decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience influencing procurement outcomes for SE/ATE solutions with government customers
• Experience developing SE product roadmaps or transitioning technology from development to fielded solutions
• Established relationships with service SE leads, sustainment commands, and prime integrators
• Experience in an embedded business development role co-located with engineering or program teams
