About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design Marine & Utility systems for LNG carriers, FSRUs, FLNGs, CCS, FPSOs, and other offshore structures
  • Define system architecture, assess layouts/arrangements, and specify equipment for cooling, heating, hydraulics, and air systems
  • Develop system designs including Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, equipment specifications, valve lists, and technical reports
  • Execute tasks ranging from early-stage conceptual assessments to detailed design for newbuilds and retrofits
  • Collaborate directly with customers, multidisciplinary project teams, and external suppliers

Requirements

  • MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in offshore, FPSO, or LNG projects
  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, standards, and relevant class rules
  • Proven design experience with ships or floating installations within oil and gas, wind, solar, or aquaculture sectors
  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English (written and oral)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or desire to take on roles as a discipline leader or project manager
  • Proactive and self-driven approach to solving complex technical challenges
