About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve end of line test infrastructure for LocusBot subassemblies and fully integrated robots
  • Develop and maintain automated test sequences for drivetrain, sensor, compute, and power systems
  • Investigate test failures on the manufacturing floor to improve first-pass yield and reduce cycle time
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to translate design intent into test specifications
  • Perform data analysis including SPC and failure mode analysis to drive continuous improvement
  • Build intuitive GUI interfaces for production technicians
  • Design and build new test fixtures and automated test equipment (ATE)
  • Author and maintain documentation for test systems, schematics, and process procedures
  • Support pre-production validation and debug efforts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 6+ years of industry experience in manufacturing test or production engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Python or C++ for hardware interfacing
  • Experience working in a Linux environment with Bash scripting
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB layouts
  • Familiarity with Networking Foundations and Database Management
  • Experience with embedded communication protocols such as Ethernet, USB, SPI, UART, SCPI, and CAN bus
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices including version control and TDD
  • Experience with data acquisition hardware and industrial I/O devices
