Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable test software, intuitive GUIs, and operator workflows for cell, module, and pack-level manufacturing
• Develop, deploy, and validate production test equipment, fixtures, PLCs, and instrumentation architectures
• Link test software and hardware with MES, databases, and factory automation platforms
• Partner with EHS to design safe test systems for high-voltage environments
• Lead root-cause investigations and resolve complex hardware, software, and process failures
• Create technical documentation including test procedures and troubleshooting guides

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing automated test systems in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++, or Go
• Experience with industrial communication protocols like CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, UART, SPI, or I2C
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience integrating instrumentation and data acquisition hardware
• Experience scaling test systems from prototype to high-volume manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting new factory launches or production ramp activities
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or battery management systems
• Familiarity with firmware validation and hardware-software integration
