Senior Manufacturing Equipment Engineer

Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology designed to keep the electric grid secure and reliable. We are scaling up battery manufacturing at our high-volume facility in West Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment
• Own equipment projects from concept through startup, ensuring safety, quality, and throughput
• Work with equipment vendors to develop specifications and support FAT, SAT, and installation
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and manufacturing issues during equipment integration and production ramp
• Partner with Process Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams
• Develop equipment specifications, layouts, tooling, and fixtures
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability, uptime, and safety
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, or automation
• Experience designing, developing, or commissioning manufacturing equipment in production
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals in machine design and material handling
• Experience managing equipment vendors through design, build, and startup
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using root cause analysis
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
