Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of complex harness builds by developing work instructions, formboards, and tooling solutions
• Establish manufacturing standards and processes to enable efficient production
• Drive improvements to quality, efficiency, and throughput via process benchmarking
• Evaluate new parts and processes for assembly and scalability
• Commission new equipment and optimize production flow
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between production and assigned customers
• Manage complex technical inquiries and ensure adherence to specifications
• Maintain 5S, lean manufacturing principles, and aerospace quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, STEM-related field, or 8+ years of related manufacturing experience
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in wire harness or electrical assembly
• Proficiency in CAD tools for assembly drawings and tooling designs
• Deep understanding of PFMEA, 5S, lean manufacturing, and capacity planning
• Strong customer-facing and technical relationship management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification or experience with IPC-620 or NASA STD 8739.4 standards
• Expertise in aerospace and defense wire harness best practices
• Experience in contract manufacturing managing multiple customer programs
• Background with MES or ERP systems
• Experience leading Six Sigma or Kaizen initiatives
