Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute the build and integration of Neutron and associated flight hardware
• Develop con-ops, design, and drive build of ground support tooling and processes
• Develop build methods to increase throughput and reduce errors
• Support Neutron integration engineers with 1st and 2nd stage vehicle integration, fluid systems, avionics, and AFTS
• Develop and refine inspection, repair, assembly, and system test procedures
• Create clear work instructions for engineering and technicians
• Manage and track multiple priorities towards common project goals
• Design and develop tools and hardware to enable vehicle processing

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in industrial, mechanical, or aerospace engineering, or related degree
• 5+ years of experience building and testing space launch vehicle or aerospace/defense hardware
• Demonstrated ability to model with 3D CAD and work with large assemblies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience interfacing with mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems
• Proficiency in developing comprehensive work instructions and test procedures
• Experience with launch vehicle subsystems including avionics, high pressure gas, and structures
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with NX/Teamcenter
