Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan and direct process development and improvement activities
• Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to production employees
• Develop and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Implement long-range process improvement plans based on cost, quality, and delivery
• Interface with production, engineering, and management to implement process changes
• Implement statistical process control (SPC) and ensure product quality
• Identify and order necessary material, tooling, and equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 7+ years of mechanical manufacturing engineering experience
• Experience in low to medium volume manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of Advanced GD&T capabilities
• Knowledge of MES systems
• CAD proficiency
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Cleanroom manufacturing experience
• Optical Alignment experience
• Thermal/vacuum systems experience
• Experience supporting qualification or flight hardware
