Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the Company

Pacific Fusion was founded in 2023 with the mission to power the world with abundant, affordable, clean energy. We are rapidly designing and building a pulser-driven inertial fusion system to achieve net facility gain.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative mechanical designs for complex engineering problems
• Develop solutions to improve assembly throughput while maintaining high quality
• Interface with cross functional teams in manufacturing and facilities
• Design assembly tooling and lifting fixtures for a high volume manufacturing line
• Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
• Develop and maintain documentation for assembly, lifting, and inspection procedures
• Perform impact assessments on variances in final assemblies and delivered parts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years work experience as a Mechanical Engineer
• Advanced knowledge of CAD software, such as Creo
• Experience in the application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering
