Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive work package instructions to translate design concepts into actionable, production-ready processes
• Design efficient guidelines and standards for producibility of the build
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, and build strategies
• Collaborate with structures and systems engineering to ensure engineering models are designed for manufacturing
• Leverage kinetic, robotic, and continuous simulations to develop efficient assemblies
• Maintain alignment across design, planning, and execution systems (CAD, BOM, BOP)
• Design and implement reproducible work center breakdowns
• Define and document all predecessor and successor work packages
• Apply and interpret GD&T for manufacturability and inspection
• Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Bills of Process (BOPs)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or operations
• Experience in developing detailed work packages and production sequencing
• Practical experience collaborating with design engineering teams on DFM
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks)
• Experience with MES systems and PLM platforms (e.g., TeamCenter)
• Strong knowledge of ERP and MES enterprise applications
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work without supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of leadership experience in management or as a technical team leader
• 1-2 years of new manufacturing program development or capture experience
• Familiarity with Siemens Suite of Manufacturing tools (TeamCenter, Process Simulate, NX)
