H3X Technologies is a U.S.-based manufacturer of electric motors for sustainable aviation, marine, industrial, and defense applications. They develop high-performance integrated motor drives with power densities as high as 12 kW/kg, utilizing proprietary manufacturing processes for motor stacking, winding, and assembly.
Responsibilities
- Scale electronics manufacturing to meet growing company demand
- Manage new product introduction (NPI) for PCB and harness assemblies
- Troubleshoot and resolve electronics manufacturing issues
- Ensure quality control through documentation and corrections for non-conformances
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for yield, performance, and cost
- Develop manufacturing instructions and tests for PCB and wire harnesses
- Evaluate and assist contract manufacturers to ensure quality and reliability of electronics supply chain
- Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and meet project timelines
- Support design engineering with design for manufacturability (DFM) and prototype procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience as an Electronics Manufacturing or Design Engineer
- Strong functional knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes
- Experience with PCB fabrication and assembly procurement processes
- Understanding of power electronic functions and high voltage systems
- Proficiency in hand soldering TH and SMD components
- Fundamental 3D CAD and circuit board design experience
- Experience with quality standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-6012
- Experience with AOI, X-ray, and flying probe tests
- Ability to develop test methods, inspection plans, and quality control procedures
- Expertise in designing custom fixturing and tools for electronics manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or other scripting languages
- Experience designing PCBA layouts and schematics
- Knowledge of electronic component BOM management and vendor list development
- Familiarity with communication protocols like i2c, SPI, CAN, or Ethernet
- Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 standards
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Knowledge of ESD controls
