About the role
Responsibilities
- Scale mechanical manufacturing processes to meet growing company demand
- Manage new product introduction (NPI) for sub-system and full system assemblies
- Design and implement manufacturing tools and fixtures using SolidWorks
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly manufacturing issues
- Own the non-conformance and corrective action process for respective production area
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for yield, performance, and cost
- Create and maintain production work instructions and inspection plans
- Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and meet project timelines
- Support design engineering with design for manufacturability (DFM) and prototype procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer
- 5+ years of CAD software experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience scaling complex assemblies to higher production volume
- Expert understanding of mechanical drawings
- Superior knowledge of GD&T and part inspection
- Vast knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, and composites
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing manufacturing floor layouts
- Understanding of electric motors or high voltage systems
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 standards
