About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical factory representative for washer basket assembly equipment, including design reviews and cross-functional meetings
- Develop standardized work, maintenance procedures, TPM checksheets, and training documents in collaboration with equipment OEMs
- Establish initial operational budgets for equipment, processes, and specific production areas
- Create KPI tracking tools and support the implementation of AI and hardware solutions with DT Support
- Utilize problem-solving techniques such as 8D, A3, and 5-Why to drive continuous improvement and KPI-related projects
- Support materials layout and AMR strategy in coordination with the Materials Team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Maintenance team regarding new equipment and preventative maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related scientific field)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering role working with automated manufacturing equipment and production systems
- Proven ability to use problem-solving methodologies like 8D, A3, or 5-Why
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization to drive operational success
- Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including occasional off-shift, on-call, or weekend work
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering with advanced automated systems
- Experience with metal fabrication, component fastening, or automated equipment operations
- Six Sigma certification with strong knowledge of Lean and DMAIC methodologies
- Demonstrated track record of driving results through analytical methods and project scheduling
