About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality
- Act as the magnet owner with overall accountability for the weekend second shift
- Make real-time decisions within established guardrails and escalate issues when necessary
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and SOPs
- Collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance performance
- Lead the design and procurement of tools, fixtures, and equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct time and motion studies to determine optimal production methods
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- 7+ years of manufacturing or production engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Proficiency in CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD) and manufacturing ERP systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities like standing or stooping for extended periods
- Willingness to work the Friday through Sunday, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
- Experience with failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
