Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring project goals and progress are clearly documented and communicated
• Provide daily support to production floor operations to ensure products, processes, and equipment meet safety, quality, and cost objectives
• Lead projects for new product integration and continuous improvement initiatives
• Train and mentor technicians, product builders, and junior engineering staff on key technical tasks
• Support technicians in troubleshooting complex technical issues during production
• Apply continuous improvement tools to identify and recommend enhancements to processes and products
• Assess the feasibility of new technologies and equipment, managing Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERAs) as needed
• Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments, analyzing data to report findings to leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment
• Proven experience managing and leading multiple projects simultaneously
• Practical understanding of manufacturing problem-solving and process improvement tools, such as DMAIC
• Knowledge of production flow tools, including LEAN manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
• Experience working within the medical device industry
• Experience with New Product Integration (NPI)
• Experience with polymers, sub-assemblies, or thermal processes
• Experience with the validation and qualification of equipment and processes
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas using visual methods
