Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development of a new production line from process architecture through full rate production
  • Design, specify, procure, and integrate automated manufacturing equipment including SMT, pick-and-place, and reflow systems
  • Develop process flows, work instructions, and tooling for a low-touch production environment
  • Partner with design engineering to drive DFM/DFA feedback
  • Lead process qualification, first article inspection, and validation activities
  • Define and drive production metrics including first pass yield, cycle time, and takt time
  • Troubleshoot complex process, equipment, and quality issues on the production floor
  • Develop hiring plans and training materials to scale the line

Requirements

  • U.S. Persons status required for export-controlled data access
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial)
  • 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, electronics, medical device, or automotive
  • Demonstrated experience standing up a new production line from the ground up
  • Strong knowledge of automated electronics assembly (SMT, pick-and-place, reflow, AOI, ICT)
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements
  • Strong project management and technical communication skills
  • Experience leading root cause and corrective action investigations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience commissioning capital equipment for precision assembly lines
  • Experience in spacecraft or high-reliability aerospace manufacturing
  • Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems
  • Experience with MES/ERP/MRP systems
  • Lean manufacturing or value stream mapping experience
  • Tooling and fixture design experience
