Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Antares is on a mission to make clean energy abundant from Earth to the Asteroid Belt by building mass-producible, inherently safe, deployable microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop manufacturing processes for critical sub-systems requiring conventional and special processes
• Participate in design reviews to influence form/fit for manufacturability and process tolerances
• Collaborate with design and materials teams to drive DFM improvements and ensure compatibility
• Analyze manufacturing discrepancies and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Develop and evaluate manufacturing equipment to reduce non-conformance and operating costs
• Train technicians and engineers on best-in-class operations and process improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics
• 5+ years of experience in special process manufacturing, aerospace/nuclear super alloys, or production engineering
• Experience creating work instructions and tracking BOM components from suppliers

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or 5+ years of professional experience in electrical or aerospace engineering
• Experience with complex special processes such as welding, brazing, heat treatments, or additive manufacturing
• Proficiency with CAD software (NX) and knowledge of GD&T
