Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning, installation, startup, and ramp-up of High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) production equipment
• Serve as the senior technical authority for process engineering during facility launches and expansion projects
• Drive production readiness and performance metrics, including safety, quality, throughput, OEE, and scrap reduction
• Define, validate, and sustain robust die casting process parameters from prototype through full-scale production
• Develop and execute capital equipment strategies, including specification, procurement, and vendor selection
• Drive cross-functional execution across production, tooling, automation, quality, and supply chain teams
• Establish standardized production processes, PFMEAs, control plans, and maintenance strategies
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex production and tooling challenges

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of direct manufacturing engineering experience in high-pressure die casting environments
• Deep expertise in aluminum and/or magnesium casting technologies
• Proven success in commissioning and scaling integrated HPDC operations
• Strong experience in capital equipment strategy and industrial project execution
• Extensive knowledge of die casting tooling strategy, thermal management, and automation integration
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related continuous improvement tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Magnesium Thixomolding or advanced thin-wall aluminum casting
• Experience supporting multi-site production operations or plant turnarounds
• Prior experience acting as an owner's representative during facility construction
• Familiarity with site selection activities and utility planning
• Experience with fully integrated casting, machining, and assembly operations
