Aalo Atomics is pioneering a new era in clean energy with factory-fabricated microreactors designed to deliver affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power. Based in Austin, TX, we’re rapidly growing as we work to deploy the world’s first fleet of advanced microreactors.
Responsibilities
- Define and enforce production processes, build procedures, equipment and quality standards for all electrical and I&C scope
- Lead electrical builds hands-on including wiring panels, assembling racks, and terminating instrumentation loops
- Drive schedule and throughput on electrical hardware by identifying risks and solving problems quickly
- Establish and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes to scale from prototype to production
- Author clear, repeatable build instructions for complex industrial wire harnesses
- Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues with harnesses throughout fabrication and assembly
- Establish equipment, tooling, and fixtures for building electrical panels and systems
- Partner with design engineering and supply chain to specify, source, and qualify electrical components
- Drive design-for-manufacturability feedback to engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing, harness fabrication, or I&C assembly
- Experience in a highly regulated or safety-critical manufacturing environment (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, defense)
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and Hipot testers
- Strong working knowledge of industrial instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, and pressure transducers
- Proficiency with harness/electrical CAD software (e.g., EPlan, Zuken E3, Siemens Capital, or SOLIDWORKS Electrical)
- Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards
- Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, Texas
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person in compliance with 10 CFR Part 810
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience spanning PCBA design through manufacture
- Experience with harness automation
- Experience with decentralized electronic hardware
- Experience transitioning hardware from prototype to volume production
- Lean/Six Sigma or other process-improvement methodology experience
