Senior Manager, Workforce Development

Responsibilities

• Own the overall workforce readiness strategy aligned to Micron ramp plans and hiring roadmaps
• Ensure operators, technicians, and engineers are certified on time to support volume ramp with minimal learning loss
• Define, maintain, and continuously improve role-based training curricula for manufacturing associates, technicians, and engineers
• Build and implement a proficiency and skills readiness framework for technical staff
• Manage training infrastructure, including cleanroom training space and system environments
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, IT, and HR to represent workforce readiness in site reviews and executive updates
• Establish and maintain weekly progress reporting and KPIs, such as certification attainment and training efficiency
• Lead and develop the Workforce Development team with a focus on rigor, ownership, and outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field
• 10–15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, workforce development, training, or industrial engineering
• Proven experience supporting factory ramp-ups or large-scale workforce onboarding
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing or high-tech manufacturing environments
• Ability to translate high-level strategic goals into shop-floor execution

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Extensive hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments
