Senior Manager, Wealth Management Taxation

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced tax and estate planning strategies to complex high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients.
• Collaborate with advanced planning specialists to support a holistic wealth planning process.
• Consult with advisors and clients on tax, trust, estate, intergenerational wealth transfer, business succession, and philanthropy.
• Participate in business development activities and prospective client meetings.
• Identify opportunities to enhance the Advanced Planning and Services and Wealth Management Taxation service offerings.

Requirements

• University degree and a professional designation (e.g., CPA, JD/LLB).
• Completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program or an MTax degree.
• At least 7 years of experience providing tax planning and compliance for HNW and UHNW clients.
• Deep knowledge of Federal and provincial/territorial income tax law for individuals, trusts, and private corporations.
• Proficiency in U.S. income, estate, and gift taxation.
• Ability to interpret financial statements and complex tax returns.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical tax and legal concepts in plain language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional professional designations such as TEP, CFP, F.Pl., or CLU.
• Completion of the In-Depth Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business course.
• Solid understanding of financial products, services, and competitive marketplace practices.
