Senior Manager, VLSI Design Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of experienced IO Design Engineers
• Drive strategic development of next generation IO for scaling speed
• Build best-in-class IP design
• Manage Business Unit communication regarding IO Roadmap, RMA, and FA
• Drive end-to-end IO design capability from silicon to productization
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Drive innovation in VLSI design techniques and stay current with emerging technologies
• Evaluate and recommend EDA tools and design automation solutions
• Perform power analysis and optimization to meet performance and energy efficiency targets
• Communicate technical progress and strategic recommendations to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics & Telecommunication or Electrical engineering (VLSI Design)
• 15+ years of experience in IO designs and project management with stakeholders
• 5+ years of experience leading high-performance teams
• Extensive hands-on design experience in IO Design (LVCMOS, HVCMOS, DDR, LVDS)
• Expertise in ESD, Power bus, Floor plan, and Layout guidelines
• Expertise in advanced DDR algorithms including training modes, DFE/CTLE/Compensation Techniques, and clock skew techniques
• Proficiency with spice tools such as finesim and hspice
• Strong communication and circuit design knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• NAND Flash Design knowledge
• Experience with package, board, power integrity, or signal integrity constraints
• Background in AI/ML chip design or emerging semiconductor technologies
• Experience coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and product engineering teams
