Senior Manager, VLSI Design Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of experienced IO Design Engineers in developing next-generation semiconductor solutions.
• Drive the end-to-end IO design lifecycle from concept and silicon through to productization.
• Manage strategic development of IO for scaling speed and building best-in-class IP design.
• Handle Business Unit communications regarding IO roadmaps, RMA, and Failure Analysis (FA).
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation while meeting organizational objectives.
• Drive innovation in VLSI design techniques and evaluate EDA tools to improve team efficiency.
• Perform power analysis and optimization to meet performance and energy efficiency targets.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics & Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering (VLSI Design).
• 15+ years of extensive hands-on experience in IO Design (LVCMOS, HVCMOS, DDR, LVDS).
• 5+ years of experience leading high-performance engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in ESD, Power bus, Floor plan, and Layout guidelines.
• Proficiency with Spice tools such as FineSim and HSPICE.
• Proven experience managing stakeholders and working across different geographic locations and functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NAND Flash design.
• Expertise in advanced DDR algorithms, including training modes, DFE/CTLE/Compensation techniques, and clock skew techniques.
• Experience with package, board, power integrity, or signal integrity constraints.
• Background in AI/ML chip design or emerging semiconductor technologies.
• Experience coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and product engineering teams.
