About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead Functional Safety (FuSa) strategy, governance, and KPI enforcement across the vehicle
- Act as the primary lead for requirement quality, failure analysis, and process discipline
- Govern execution of interfaces architecture and integration readiness across hardware, software, and connectivity domains
- Manage system-level constraints including compute, timing, power, and reliability
- Build, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary system and feature team
- Establish engineering governance, design reviews, and technical decision-making frameworks
- Drive architectural enhancements to improve quality through diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- Act as the primary liaison between Architecture and cross-domain Systems Engineering teams
- Translate complex technical risks into clear executive decisions
- Interface with electrical design, software, calibration, and supplier integration teams
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in automotive system/platform development
- Expertise in vehicle electrical architecture, ECU-level software stacks, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- Proficiency with UDS diagnostics (ISO 14229) and diagnostic communication tools
- Experience with Cameo / Magic Draw system modeling and AI applications
- Strong knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory
- Proficiency in ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, dSpace, and hardware in the loop (HIL) testing
- Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or advanced mobility systems
- Familiarity with cloud-connected embedded systems and modern DevOps pipelines
