About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior oversight of daily U.S. Domestic and International Equities and Fixed Income settlement activities, including Fed Settlements and Securities Borrow/Loan transactions.
  • Manage the full settlement lifecycle, including trade affirmation, regulatory custody, triparty matching, and fail remediation.
  • Act as the primary operational point of contact for Collateral Management, Treasury, Prime Services, and Capital Markets.
  • Own the operational risk and control framework, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing settlement operations team, managing performance and succession planning.
  • Partner with Front Office, Technology, and Risk teams to support new product launches and market expansions.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in securities settlement operations across Fed eligible securities, equities, and fixed income.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in complex, highly regulated financial environments.
  • Strong understanding of Fed settlements, triparty funding, margining, and liquidity management.
  • Proven ability to manage operational risk, controls, and engage with internal/external audits.
  • Experience with custodial platforms and connected technology (e.g., BNY Access Edge, DTC, CDS, or similar).
  • Strong ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Treasury, Risk, and Front Office.
