Senior Manager, Transmission & Distribution Station Engineering

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) station conceptual engineering portfolio.
• Lead and develop high-performing, multidisciplinary teams and external design partners to deliver constructable conceptual solutions.
• Oversee technical excellence in conceptual designs, estimates, specifications, and engineering instructions for complex projects.
• Specify and standardize major power equipment, supporting strategic sourcing through technical evaluations and selection.
• Champion safety and compliance by ensuring all solutions meet health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Strengthen collaboration across engineering disciplines, project planning, and delivery teams.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, benchmarking, and the integration of industry best practices.
• Provide oversight and governance regarding budgets, resource utilization, quality assurance, and performance reporting.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of proven leadership experience at a senior management level managing engineering teams for complex infrastructure programs.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Canada.
• Extensive experience delivering T&D substation or station projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of transmission and distribution station design, including protection and control.
• Experience working within multi-stakeholder environments involving utilities, regulators, and contractors.
• Demonstrated ability to develop multi-year business plans, forecasts, and budgets.
