About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze League and Club fan data to identify trends, behavioral patterns, and growth opportunities.
- Interface directly with NHL Clubs to provide club-specific insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Lead the buildout and ongoing enhancement of Tableau dashboards, reporting suites, and analytic frameworks.
- Oversee analytics related to primary and secondary market performance, including pricing, demand forecasting, and yield optimization.
- Translate complex quantitative findings into compelling narratives and business recommendations for senior leadership.
- Support and refine data flows into the NHL’s internal ticketing data warehouse.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area from a four-year college or university.
- 5-7 years of experience in data strategy, analytics, or business intelligence.
- Advanced Tableau skills, including dashboard development and visualization best practices.
- Intermediate-to-advanced SQL proficiency.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Proven experience leading high-visibility analytics initiatives for executive or C-suite stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or R for statistical modeling, automation, or data manipulation.
- Familiarity with fan data platforms, CRM systems, or ticketing data ecosystems.
- Experience within a major professional or collegiate sports league or team.
