About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 59 technicians and leaders overseeing alarm systems and key control
- Formulate and execute safety initiatives to foster a culture committed to the principle of "No One Gets Hurt"
- Manage financial resources, including the annual operating plan and the capital expenditure (capex) program
- Oversee technical projects by managing scope, budget, resources, schedules, and communications
- Respond to significant operational events, such as attraction downtimes or facility outages
- Maintain positive relationships with union representatives and ensure fair administration of union contracts
- Inspect the quality of completed preventive maintenance and reconcile results to job plans
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience working with fire alarm systems
- Expertise with Siemens and Edwards System Technologies (EST) fire alarm panels
- Strong understanding of alarm software and reporting capabilities
- Extensive expertise in financial management and budget oversight
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for managing databases and projections
- Ability to read and interpret contracts and fire alarm drawings across multiple disciplines
- Familiarity with electronic door access systems and "off premise" monitoring
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Certification
- State of Florida Electrical Fire Unlimited or Electrical Contractor license
- Familiarity with NFPA 25 and NFPA 72 standards
- 7 or more years of experience in a related technical field
- Bachelor's degree or a postgraduate degree in a technical discipline
