About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of product managers to execute portfolio visions and roadmaps, ensuring delivery and quality goals are met.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on product strategy and long-term platform roadmaps.
- Hire, develop, and inspire team members while fostering a collaborative environment and enforcing best practices.
- Partner with engineering and business leaders on portfolio prioritization, buy/build decisions, and vendor selection processes.
- Manage portfolio planning, including balancing intra-portfolio priorities and managing dependencies across other portfolios.
- Lead portfolio Steering Committees to provide transparency and facilitate key decision-making.
- Act as a domain expert on portfolio technology, integrations, and industry trends.
- Utilize customer feedback, market research, and data to inform technical product strategy and defend prioritization decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7 years of demonstrated experience as a software Product Manager, Product Owner, or Group Product Manager.
- Proven experience directly leading and managing a team of professionals.
- Expertise working within the Agile Scrum framework with complex products and multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in education technology or the higher education market.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification (e.g., Pragmatic Marketing).
- Certification in change management.
