Senior Manager, Tax Operations

Fluidstack is focused on delivering civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI. The company acquires power, designs and builds data centers, and operates them with teams spanning hardware and software to accelerate the deployment of frontier compute.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual global income tax provision under ASC 740, including ETR, deferred taxes, and uncertain tax positions
• Prepare and review public-filings ready tax footnotes and disclosures
• Oversee U.S. federal, state, international income tax, and indirect tax compliance
• Manage external tax providers and global advisors across multiple operating entities
• Own SOX internal controls over tax reporting
• Lead responses to IRS and state/local tax authority examinations
• Partner with FP&A and Treasury to forecast cash taxes and model strategic business decisions
• Oversee and streamline global and state/local indirect tax compliance processes

Requirements

• 10+ years of tax career experience in a Big 4 firm or large multinational corporate tax department
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Hands-on experience running ASC 740 income tax provisions end to end
• Experience preparing tax disclosures for filed 10-K or 10-Q reports
• Experience leading tax authority examinations (IRS or state/local)
• Experience managing SOX controls over a tax function

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's in Taxation
• Experience with large ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle
• Indirect tax expertise
• Hands-on tax automation or technology implementation experience
• Experience mentoring or building out a tax team
