Senior Manager, Tax Operations

Responsibilities

• Own the Global Tax Provision process, managing the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
• Prepare tax footnote disclosures and detailed internal technical memoranda to support tax positions and financial statement reporting.
• Calculate effective tax rates (ETR), manage deferred tax asset/liability (DTA/DTL) schedules, and analyze uncertain tax positions (FIN 48).
• Manage end-to-end compliance for US (Federal/State) and International income tax returns, overseeing external vendors and advisors.
• Design and implement "Tax Ops" best practices, including improved data collection workflows between Accounting and Tax.
• Oversee compliance for direct and indirect taxes (VAT/GST/Sales Tax) across global entities.
• Partner with FP&A and Accounting teams to ensure financial data is structured correctly for tax consumption.
• Support senior leadership with tax operational impacts related to M&A, entity restructuring, or new product launches.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant tax experience.
• Deep subject matter expertise in ASC 740 (Tax Provision) and US GAAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Proven success in "Tax Operations," including managing workflows and utilizing technology to reduce manual errors.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts for non-tax stakeholders.
• A genuine personal passion for Web3, blockchain, and the digital asset space.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in a Big 4 accounting firm.
• In-house experience at a multinational corporation.
• CPA and/or MST certification.
